MACROMIND EXPANDS ITS
AUTHORIZED TRAINER AND DEVELOPER PROGRAMS
SAN FRANCISCO--January 8, 1990--MacroMind® Inc., the leading vendor of multimedia software, announced today that the company will expand its multimedia seminars to include a Midwest training site. The MacroMind Multimedia Seminars, which consist of two two-day workshops, will now be held each month in Chicago, as well as in San Francisco and New York, from February 1990 through June 1990.
"We had such an overwhelming response to our initial series of multimedia training seminars that we are broadening the seminars to fulfill the tremendous demand we have received from all over the country," said Devorah Canter, MacroMind's Director of Customer Relations and Developer Programs. "To support our program, we have also created a directory and referral system that puts companies seeking multimedia training or production assistance in contact with our new base of Authorized MacroMind Trainers and Developers."
The first two days of each seminar are devoted to the "Train the Trainer" workshop, which is designed for software instructors who wish to become Authorized MacroMind Trainers. Attendees develop the necessary skills to teach beginning and advanced courses in MacroMind Director,® an enhanced version of the well known VideoWorks II program. Past attendees include independent consultants and trainers from large corporations and training companies.
"The knowledge I gained and the skills I developed at the MacroMind 'Train the Trainer' workshop are invaluable," said Susan Dunn, a trainer with Visual Sound Corporation, a dealer that provides corporate training. "The MacroMind Authorized Training Materials are superb and provide an excellent guideline for conducting my own training classes."
The "Interactive Multimedia" workshop, held on the third and fourth day of each seminar, is designed for multimedia designers who wish to become Authorized MacroMind Developers. Attendees develop the skills necessary to create interactive applications with MacroMind's newest product, MacroMind Director Interactive,™ which
is designed for multimedia developers/producers who wish to add interactive elements and video to their productions. Past attendees include individuals from corporate communications and creative services departments, as well as independent design firms.
"MacroMind Director Interactive is an incredible new communication tool," said workshop attendee Mark Mintz, the MIS director of animation and the CBT Technology advisor at Maritz Communications West, an advertising and communications firm. "We are taking the lead in interactive multimedia communication and will be using this technology as a marketing tool for our corporate clients."
